The Second Renaissance… or third

To those who were unfortunate enough to have followed me during my erratic years (I might even say “regulars”) I do apologise. I’m sure everyone of you pretty much anticipated the inevitable death of the previous blog ever since the rant on “prams” sneaked in, but we’ll not go there. The truth of the matter is that blogs in a generic sense have been going through a huge identity crisis ever since the advent of social media and networking, and this has highly affected the stance of my personal blog. Everything became ambiguous as changes in the rules gradually crept in. All this explains why I had to remove everything from the previous site – this was mainly due to the fact that I wasn’t satisfied with many of the articles written and felt they had little to no value to the reader. Along with the content cleansing, this also gave me the opportunity to completely move house once and for all in relation to content management systems from Blogger.com to WordPress.com. As a result mTing is still considered a beta project, and will continue to stay that way for while.

In this space I’ll be posting insights from a typical geek perspective including topics from design to culture. Hopefully some commonality will arise and many of you will find value in the postings.

In the meantime… expect quite a few shifting back and forth both aesthetically and contents-wise as this site experiences the growing pains. As for my rantings, all verbal diarrhoea can be viewed on Twitter (where else?)
